Workshop on turtle rehabilitation
Date: 30th April 2010
Time: 10:00 am – 1:00 pm
Venue: The Kala Academy (Art Gallery)
Purpose of the workshop:
Sea turtle rescue centers operating in different countries across the world often face emergencies and have to carry out rehabilitation operations. This workshop is planned keeping in mind the benefits of the exchange of information and sharing of experiences of groups and individuals from across the world. Without the constant and active exchange of information and interaction, resources are often underutilized and results of rehabilitation are often uncertain.
Agenda:
In addition to presentations made by invited experts in the field, participants are encouraged to participate and share their experiences in order to compare and plan out ways to advance ongoing veterinary research techniques. The aim of the workshop is also to provide a platform to discuss improvements in medical administration and to establish a network that will function, in addition to promoting the exchange of knowledge and techniques, as an organization for better emergency preparedness and operation.
