Don’t miss out on the special evening social events that are planned alongside the symposium.

26th April 2010 – Evening
Welcome Social Event
Venue: Hotel Cidade de Goa
The first social event of the symposium, the welcome social will be held at the open air venue at the Cidade de Goa hotel at Vainguinim Beach in Goa. You can purchase tickets online when you register at iconferences.seaturtle.org.
27th April 2010 – Evening
Video Night
Venue: The Kala Academy
The Video Night has been running for several years and has become a popular event at the Symposium. The event attracts a large audience and is an ideal opportunity for you or your group to present your conservation, research or education videos. Entry to this event is free of cost.Submit your video abstracts to: Emma Harrison at emma(at)cccturtle.org

Deadline for video submissions: 31st January 2010

Format for presentation: Each presenter will have 10 minutes to introduce and show their video – if your video is longer than 10 minutes, you will need to edit it for the evening.

28th April 2010 – Evening
Live Auction Night
Venue: Hotel Cidade de Goa
A traditional event organised by the ISTS at every symposium, an entertaining casual evening sees participants bid for items that are brought from all over the world, by participants and donated by sponsors. A silent auction will also be held on the 27th and 28th of April at the main symposium venue. Items are put on display and bidding is carried out on paper.

All proceeds from the auction contribute towards travel grants for the next symposium.

29th April 2010 – Evening
Farewell Banquet
Venue: Hotel Cidade de Goa
Another traditional event hosted at each symposium, the Farewell Banquet marks the end of the main symposium. The Archie Carr Student Awards and the ISTS Awards are announced at this event. Also included as part of the evening’s treats are a live band performance and authentic Goan cuisine.
Tickets for this event are available online when you register at iconferences.seaturtle.org. You can pick up additional tickets for accompanying members of your family and friends. Special low priced tickets are also available on offer.
